Library Day!!!

Today N turned 7 months old (that post to come soon) so we went to the library to celebrate!! This was N's first time going to the library so he was busy looking all around and taking in all of the books. We went to storytime and we got to listen to books, sing songs and play with the instruments. A fun, free event and we will definately go back again. N was very serious the whole time. He barely smiled but he did enjoy the music. He was just bouncing along as the songs were playing. I think he was overwhelmed by all of the kids there. There was this one girl who kept on trying to touch his hair! He spent a good chunk of time trying to get away from her :) Besides that little one we met another little girl and her Mommy who were very nice. We even exchanged numbers with her so we can arrange a play date. We checked out some books and a few cds and by the end N was exhausted.

i love hand-made

i am in love with hand-made things for nico. there are just so many creative people that i can't help but be in awe of their talents. i always think about sewing some things but my momma actually told me not to buy a machine. go figure, she must know something i don't. anywhoo besides hand-made clothes, i really want n to have home-made toys as well. a few weeks back when we went to the hand-made crafts fair i picked up some goodies for n and i may be biased but he is one awesome model. these goodies ( a cool pillow and one-piece outfit) can also be found on etsy at lemon cadet.

so long grammy

today nico bid farewell to his wonderful grammy. he is going to miss all of the kisses and hugs. he will also miss the leisurely walks around the park, the morning bubble baths, the chats over the bottle, rocking in the rocking chair listening to the african tunes and all of the special moments with grammy. he was so fortunate to have these couple of months with his grammy and his parents were pretty lucky too. we love ya grammy!!!

Rockin' and rollin'

Life as I know it is coming to an end. Nico is so mobile. He has grand plans and he can't let his inability to walk/crawl get in the way. So Mr.N is so busy. Every single day he finds a way to get where he needs to go. Like a couple of weeks ago when I left him for a few, okay maybe one, minute and his head was peaking out from under the coffee table. Yeah, he is on a roll. He likes to get on all fours and rock and rock and then he scoots ...backwards. My little sweetie is going places and I hope that I will be able to keep up!!

last weekend ( I know bad blogger) we took n to the water park. admittedly the water was cold but that 's ok because the sun was hot ;) n had a good time hanging out with his big cousin and loungin' by the pool. he didn't enjoy the bigger kids running by and splashing him but he didn't cry about it either!

Nico's Baptism

Nico was baptized today and it was truly a remarkable day. The service was great...so upbeat and lively. I couldn't get the song "We Worship You" out of my head the whole day. The visiting pastor mentioned the two babies being baptized several times, they were prayed for and everyone was so loving that it seemed surreal. N was great during the whole baptism. He was ok with the holy water being sprinkled on his head but he didn't like laying down to have it done. My sister was holding him and he kept trying to sit up from that position. He smiled the whole time and paid keen attention to the Pastor Peter as he prayed over him. He got all kinds of goodies from the church to remember the day, a beautiful scroll with his name and baptism date was my favorite of them all. N was lucky enough to have so many people come and celebrate his day with him! We couldn't have asked for a better day!!!

time sure flies

I can't believe that it has almost been a week since my last post. Where  o where have my stolen moments on the computer gone? Nico is keeping me very busy! We are so excited about the great weather that we are taking nice strolls every afternoon. I wish I could say that Nico is enjoying taking in all the sites but alas my little one falls asleep by the time we reach the end of the block!! That is ok because I think he has the best naps ever when he is out in the afternoon air. He actually keeps me motivated to walk because I know it makes him so content.

On Sunday, we went to a really cool hand made crafts festival and he had a ball. He got some really nice things and he enjoyed listening to the music and seeing all of the people. It was so exciting that there was not a moment to snooze. 

In other Nico news, please don't let him out of your sight he is a rolling and moving trying to get to anything that catches his eye. Most times it is the remote control that has him on the move but really it can be anything. I don't think I can put off  babyproofing for much longer :)
