Nico's 5! A letter.

Dear Nico,

Five years ago you choose me. How absolutely blessed I am to be your mother. I remember so much and still so much is a blur. We learned each other and I think we have settled into a routine where I know you and you know me. Sometimes it isn't easy raising a strong-willed opinionated little boy. I struggle with wanting you to do things my way and realizing how your way works too. Simply put, I love you. You school me on animals and all kinds of things and I am in awe of how smart you are. You are curious and you love learning. I am glad that that hasn't changed. You are funny and you do a mean break dancing routine. You are strong and fast and you have the best memory. You are imaginative and creative. You are everything I could hope for and more than I could ever imagine. Happy Birthday to you, my heart, my love, my everything.

Love always~
Momma

This boy

At the park in Miami...loving the climbing.

Being silly at the National Harbor.

Snacking with his cousin at the Empire State Building.

Swinging in Central Park on one of the hottest days of the summer.

Zonked out on Daddy!
Out at midnight in Times Square.

This boy is my absolute joy! We are wrapping up a fun filled summer and welcoming a new school year. Only a few months until his little sister arrives and he is no longer king of the castle. Who am I kidding he will always be king of the castle.  This castle will just have two thrones ;)

Back in business!

If you think Nico has been taking it easy these past few months you are sadly mistaken. Blame his Momma for the lack if updates. He has been up to blog worthy stuff but his Momma has been busy baking his little sister and therefore too exhausted to post. The past few months have been filled with family time, exploring, learning a lot, practicing reading and just being a full speed ahead four year old.
Here are some pics:

Searching for alligator in the Everglades & going on an airboat ride with the grandparents.

Looking handsome on Easter- hat was on for 1 second :)

Avoiding clowns at the fair- pouty face!

Making silly faces in the morning & showing those muscles.

Working hard at school.

Making fresh squeezed orange juice
