Sunday Outing

Last Sunday, my sister and I took the little one and little lady to the Air & Space Museum. Neat museum alert! The museum has all kinds of aircraft including planes, rockets, and kites too. We saw an interesting IMAX movie about the creation of a Boeing super, duper plane. Nico seemed to enjoy his time. I am not sure if he enjoyed seeing the aircraft more or the fact that there was so much open space for him to run around like a maniac. After we had a yummy lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. All in all a great day!

Today we were watching Wheel of Fortune and he started calling out letters and trying to solve the puzzle. I nearly died laughing! Love him!

Vocabulary Explosion!

It seems like since the Christmas season Nico's vocabulary has exploded. He loves cracking little jokes and he is sounding like such a little person. He surprises me all the time with the things he says. He has started to master turning phrases and he really gets the power of words. He knows that what he is telling you has power. It is cool. As him to get you something he says, "sure" or "be right back." Other things that he is saying at the right time and all are: "Where waffles go?", "Daddy gone to work" or "Nico's ____(insert anything), "I did it" (when he gets an answer right) It is really neat to watch his vocabulary grow and grow. He makes me so proud ;)

Nico's Epiphany

He realized that he can sleep in his bed all night and sleep well.

I think we have only had a handful of times where this has happened in 2 yrs. Probably not even a handful. Ok. I can only think of one time. But there must have been more times. I am probably too sleep deprived to realize it :)

2010 Holiday Season!

Well Nico got scooped up by his Grandpa on Dec 15th. So he was hanging out with his grandparents and enjoying the sunshine. His holiday season included a great deal of fun, family times and a boat load of gifts! He also had his share of late nights and hugs from his cousin Ryann. He could not get enough of her or her iPod touch :) Some of the highlights of his extended and yet too short holiday season are below:

*playing at the park in the rays of sunshine

*taking bike rides on the back of PaPa's bike

*dancing to MJ

*riding around his grandparents house with Ryann in tow

*stomping through the yard in search of lizards

* riding through the Everglades and pointing out wildlife

*eating fresh strawberries better than any found in a store

*opening a bunch of gifts and enjoying both the paper and the present

*going to the bowling alley with PaPa

*playing in the fountains at the mall

*getting loved on and spoiled :)
