On Saturday for our Family Day outing we went to lunch at a cool spot in DC called Matchbox and then we went to visit the Frederick Douglass House in DC and we had the best time ever. I mean hands down, our tour was awesome. Just phenomenal. Hs life is such an inspiration to all people. I can't wait to share his story with N when he is old enough to appreciate it. In between napping and nursing N took it all in and was such a pleasant little fellow.

happiest baby on the block
Anyone who hangs out with N for any period of time knows that he is one happy camper. A full on breakdown is rather rare and 7 months in I can read him pretty well. Keep him dry and fed and he is pretty content. I love how he is always smiling and laughing and just being an overall happy little baby.

Fun Times this Summer!
Pictures 1 & 2- Fun on the 4th with Auntie and Daddy.
Pictures 3, 4, 5 & 6- At the farm on the play date.
The 4th of July was fun. We went to a bar-b-q at my sister's house. The food was awesome and the illegal firework show put on by her neighbors literally had car alarms going off and windows rattling. Now the 4th is not one of my favorite holidays but it was cool to dress N in festive attire and hang out with the family. D loves the 4th and he enjoyed watching the fireworks with his boy. N did look at the fireworks. He didn't jump or appear afraid. He just looked and zonked out before the end of the show.
At the Petting Farm with Parker and Ryann. Nico looked rather bored the whole time. I guess the product of a city guy and a suburban girl is not a country boy. We did have a good time, Ryann fed the various farm animals, I called a chicken a rooster/hen or was it the other way around. Who knows. We came, we saw, we ran around a maze. It was a good day!
Nico is really enjoying his summer. He is sleeping in a little bit and trying to fill his days with fun activities. Between heading to the library, going on play dates and just hanging out with the family, Nico is living it up!!
