Our Friday

The morning started too early. After he was all dressed and ready to go, I put him in his crib to pack up his bags. I came back to a quiet room and a sleeping baby. So cute that I gave him a few extra minutes to snooze.

Later that day, he morphed into a big boy with a ton of energy. Must be the shoes :)

The Corduroy Love

Ok, the first book that I really loved as a little one was Corduroy by Don Freeman. I remember loving the series and I even named my bear after Corduroy. It was the first time I saw a face that looked like mine in a book, Lisa even had a ponytail like mine.

Today I stumbled upon a big board book of Corduroy. Yeah, N already has one of the Corduroy books but the big board book of the original is a great addition to his library. Imagine my happiness seeing my little one loving a book that brought me so much joy.

14 mONthS!!

My little bitty boy is 14 months today. It seems like he is getting to be more of a big boy and less of a baby. I think the whole walking/running thing allows him so much independence that it seems like I am always in his dust :0 His new loves are: opening cabinet doors, playing keep away from the folks, playing in his food and throwing things out of the tub. As always he is keeping us on our toes and making every single day special! He is 21lbs and he has 4 new teeth coming in!

Feeling MUCH better!

I am so glad he is doing better. He has had a relaxing weekend with a lot of love and hugs. Tomorrow it is back to school. And something tells me he won't be able to hang out there in his pjs!

daycare gives my baby the willies

He was never a sick one and now it seems like he can't shake all kinds of junk. He had a fever today so I had to pick him up early. I took him to the dr and he weighs 21 lbs, he has a cold, an earache and is teething. Fun times I tell ya. He has been in good spirits. I just love him so much and I hate to see him in pain. Hopefully the antibiotics and extra love will get him back to normal really quickly.

Ice,Ice Baby

Today we went to ICE! at the National Harbor. It is this amazing display of ice sculptures, housed in an area that is a balmy 9 degrees! Yes! Leave the bitter cold outside and embrace the ....bitter cold! They provide you with a lovely blue parka and then you are turned loose. If your camera lens fogs up, they are not responsible :) Inside there was a slide for kids to use, ice people, penguins, Christmas trees and instruments to name a few. We had a nice time but brrr! Hopefully our next adventure will not require a parka.

maybe you shouldn't

put baby in a corner, but what do you do when he puts himself in the laundry closet? hmm, guess you can't leave him for a second!
