Happy Baby, Sick Mom

I have been pretty sick the past week, hence no new posts but through it all N has been a trooper. His normal happy, bubbly self and here are a few photos to prove it! I will blog more tomorrow... a few people needed a Nico fix :)

strong, strong boy

I think we may have to do a baby ab exercise video line. my son is strong. he wants to be able to sit up so badly so he is constantly pulling his upper body up from a laying position. He can't get himself up so he does a half-up, half-roll thing that gets him so frustrated. It will only be a matter of time before he is sitting upright. It is cool to watch him be so determined to do something. I will keep you updated on when he masters this task. You can be on the lookout for his exercise series =)

Awesome Day

We started our day with some reading and tummy time. N is enjoying his bumbo seat. Most times he refuses to sit up straight...he has the cool grown man lean going on. But having the chair gives him another opportunity to be independent and I like the freedom it gives me too. His tummy time was spent being as cool as a cucumber...he wouldn't do anything besides kick his feet and smile. No rolling for my sweetie. That's ok he had a good time anyway.














The weather today was absolutely fantastic. Finally a day that Nico and I can go for a stroll. Reminded us of our walks in the park in Miami. So with temps near the 80's and magnificent sunshine, we walked down to the lake to take in the sights and sounds. And boy was it noisy!! It seems like everyone had the same idea because the park was filled with kids on bikes, skates and the like. N had a good time looking all around. He especially noticed the lake...he looked at the lake for a long time. Check out the pics of N in his sun hat. He even got a chance to kick off his socks and let his toes hang out. We had a blast.

Nico and Grammy

N is having a great time w/his Grammy. Was there ever any doubt? I come home to his smiling face and she doesn't look like he whipped her too much. I don't think he had it this smooth when he was home with me :)

Nico's First Easter

N had an awesome first Easter. On Friday we took pictures with the Easter bunny at the mall. On Saturday, we decorated eggs with Ryann and she made a cute Easter craft but Momma forgot to take pics :( And on Easter Sunday we woke up nice and early and went to 9:30 service at church. It was a nice service but Nico did sleep for a bit of it. After church, we had Tangela, Ryann and Reggie over for Easter dinner. It was a wonderful day hanging out with the people we love.

Spits and Shouts

So N has developed a love of spitting and shouting... I guess a week with Daddy is good for something :) It was really cute when he discovered his hands and then his feet but the piercing screams are something to get used to, I think. Just when you think he is having a good time in his jumperoo or bouncer he affirms his great time by screaming as loudly as he can. He generally combines his screams with his adorable smile.
We took him for a walk today, the sunshine made it seem warmer than it was, and he spent the first part of the walk laughing and spitting. I wish I knew what he was thinking because he seems to be having an awesome time in that head of his.
