In the morning he was all ready for school with a hand-made crocheted hat. Perfect for a chilly Spring morning.

By the afternoon he was diagnosed with croup and his folks were administering breathing treatments. I told you he keeps us on our toes :)

17 months!

A few days late because well because he is 17 MONTHS! He refuses to sit still meaning Momma doesn't get much downtime. I wouldn't have it any other way. I am loving his on the go, chatterbox personality. He is questioning so much and wanting to know about everything. I am in awe of this little boy.

So at 17 months....

he is

no longer scared of his talking horse

is sleeping for 3 hour stretches at day care

is refusing to drink milk out of his sippy cup

chatting to himself in his crib

understanding most things you ask of him

still throwing his food from his high chair

loving his bath time

pointing out all of the babies he sees

getting cat and dog mixed up...everything is a cat

chatting on the phone

That lovely boy of mine will not let me snap his picture. He won't slow down for a nanosecond. He has an opinion about EVERYTHING. He is waking up ever night at 3 am to party (his daddy is blaming that one on his trip to visit his grandparents). You can catch him at any moment swaying to the beat. He wakes up and instantly wants to hear his music. He has found new uses for many household items. He loves to help with laundry, loading the dishwasher and making his bath. Oh and he has decided that he no longer likes broccoli. Fun times.

Our Parrot

We talk, Nico listens. I feel like E.F. Hutton (google him). His vocabulary is growing so much. In a matter of days he has become a chatter box. It is a little scary. I won't list all that he is saying, just rest assured he is sooooo advanced :)

First Haircut

Nico got his hair cut today. His daddy did the honors. I did not realize he had so much hair. That stuff was super thick! Although D assured me he was not hurting him, Nico cried the whole time. I almost joined him :( It is amazing how a haircut can transform you. He went from a little baby looking fella to a toddler within a half hour. I am still not used to this big boy look but he is still picture perfect.

Oh and when you want to take his picture he says, "cheese". Growing too fast I tell you!

Nico is having a great time! His grandparents are showering him with love and he is going on all sorts of adventures.

We are all about the vacation and morning packing before our afternoon flight. I put it in, he pulls it out. I put it back in and he sits on it. We are quite a team!
