He really is 3!!!

Nico had a very festive birthday. He was showered with love and good wishes. Here are a couple of pics from the day :)

dearest Nico on the eve of your 3rd birthday~

there are a few times when i get especially emotional in regards to rearing you....your birthday is one of those times. as cliched as it sounds i love you more with each passing day. i am in awe of the little person you are becoming and humbled that i am allowed to be a vehicle in your life. there are more aspects of your personality peeking out each day. the no's are much more frequent and the determination grows daily. what does that mean for your momma? i have to work on my patience and continue to ask God for His guidance in treating you like i should and loving you as He loves me.
my wish for you on this special occasion is that you continue to grow and that you never lose your sense of wonder or joy and that your belly laughs are numerous.
this year you have amazed us in so many ways. your daddy and i have a hard time believing a quarter of the things that you say. your height is definitely a blessing as we share many a stifled giggle over your head. you continue to be our little sponge...there really is not much that you are not curious about and your knowledge is stunning. we hope that that love of learning continues too.
you are so fortunate to have so many people in your life who love you. i want you to know that while you have your parents there really is a village out there who loves you and will support you as you grow up. never forget how much you are loved because you are so loved and so special.

Special Delivery

I can't believe it has been so long. He had a ball in Miami with his grandparents. The warm weather was just what he needed.

Halloween Eve

Nico has been sick for the the past few days so a few of the Halloween activities we had planned had to be cancelled but today he was feeling a bit better so we went to a Trunk or Treat activity at a local church. They really had it all: marsh mellow roasting, a hayride, a maze, trick or treating, games, prizes and it goes on and on. Nico had a blast. He was not up to his usual self and he preferred to stroll than walk but it was a lot of fun. I am glad we were able to go. And as far as dragons go, this kid is the cutest!

Last Year

Last year, on this day I took this picture. Something about it appeals to me. 

Tacky, Tacky

Nico wanted a fish.
So we got him one.
Orange as requested.
He named him Tacky.
He feeds him daily,
And talks to him often.
My little boy is so responsible.
My heart swells watching him.
Watching him loving his pet.

Pirate Momma

Nico drew this picture of me and called it Pirate Momma, notice the eye patch on the left eye.
